If the target hostname of a CNAME ends in “ampr.org <http://ampr.org/ >” (and it doesn't have to) then you can either leave off the “ampr.org <http://ampr.org/>” part and don’t add a period, in which case “ampr.org <http://ampr.org/>” will automatically be added. Or, you can specify the fully qualified hostname including “ampr.org <http://ampr.org/>” but make sure you add a period at the end.
