While I do like groups.io as a service, I have issues interacting with it using my usual email account (thanks Google - and before anyone suggests using the web interface, no thanks), which has resulted in me not meaningfully interacting with groups.io for a very long time. :(

Hi,
a possibly unpopular opinion but given the reduction in traffic here and the apparent desire to migrate to groups.io by ARDC is it more appropriate to suggest that the chances of improving moderation here are slim and maybe it's time to migrate ? :-(

As another member of the RB team, I would concur that on the initial
signup, Individual moderation is in order.

If not, putting the list on moderation full time is the best option to
prevent spam.

If that's the direction we choose, I'm willing to share message approval
/ moderation duties.
