I am sorry - I didn't realize this was about a JNOS setup, I had ignored
the initial messages in the thread. The route is technically not needed
for RIP updates to be received, but of course, if JNOS requires it, then
it's required for JNOS for some reason.
Plain linux setups do not need the route.
I'm going to look into creating a JNOS device for
testing and understanding
better the software that a majority of us use for AMPR. Can anyone suggest a
manual page or tutorial?
