Hi Cara,
You didn’t add a period at the end, so “ampr.org <http://ampr.org/>” was added
automatically. I have corrected that for you.
If the target hostname of a CNAME ends in “ampr.org <http://ampr.org/>” (and it
doesn't have to) then you can either leave off the “ampr.org <http://ampr.org/>”
part and don’t add a period, in which case “ampr.org <http://ampr.org/>” will
automatically be added. Or, you can specify the fully qualified hostname including
“ampr.org <http://ampr.org/>” but make sure you add a period at the end.

Hi all,
I recently made a CNAME record from @.na1cl.ampr.org to my gateway at
rtr-nj1.na1cl.ampr.org, but ran into issues using it. When I looked at the DNS records
that were actually created, it looks like this:
na1cl.ampr.org. 86400 IN CNAME
rtr-nj1.na1cl.ampr.org.ampr.org.
Which does not match the portal help text of "enter a fully qualified domain name
terminated with a period". In addition, it looks like there's no option to edit
already-created resource records from the portal. Is there a planned feature to edit
resource records and clarify the help text?
Thanks and 73,
Cara NA1CL
