Just FYI that the process is a bit different overseas, you send a mail
with scanned documents from your local post office to the AARL
mailbox, wait a few weeks and voila.

it looks like they also accepts emails now.
Yeah, the snail mail requirement of the past was a major barrier for me,
but email is doable. I'll have to consider it, since it's becoming more
likely that I'll be using LoTW for everything except logging. :)
