Just thought of this this morning, and was wondering if we could have a
DNS delegation system for hams off of
ampr.org or another domain name?
Something like:
af7sj.ampr.org ns myprimary.dns.server
af7sj.ampr.org ns mysecondary.dns.server
I've seen this happen for some regional groups.
Also those of us with /24 BGP assignments have in-addr.arpa
delegations, but again manually configured on the portal side..
DNS is certainly something that the ARDC should invest in automation
of, the portal it should allow users to update NS delegations at free
will and not require the intervention of a co-ordinator - just like
has been the case for years with APNIC, ARIN, RIPE etc.
