Many AMPRNet hosts do not respond to pings (probably out of some
mistaken idea that somehow enhances security) but do respond to
telnet to their web servers on port 80.
44.136.76.1, 44.136.76.2, 44.136.76.3 and
44.136.76.4 should all
respond to pings, if you want to test.
