The script is still needed, it just wouldn't include instructions to reach subnets that are only accessible over BGPed 44 addresses. My 44.60.44.0/24 is configured to use a AMPRGW as its default route. I am also able to ping you now (after I corrected the TO/FROM rule I improperly copied). I've always been properly configured (except for Saturday and Sunday, when I re-wrote my script).
