Hi N7DMR, I realize that this isn't a direct answer, but I started writing up my own approach for an AMPRnet IPIP configuration here: http://k7lgx.net/posts/2020-10-13-amprnet.html I'm not using netplan but instead configure systemd-networkd directly. If your distro is modern enough to include netplan then it seems likely that systemd-networkd could also be an option.
