The same rationale would and should apply to companies like GE. They
have 3.x.x.x/8 and they use them internally, not just the Internet
facing hosts, but every host in their system. Then they pile VLANs on
top of the same hardware and run 10.x's all over for "security" or
"legacy" purposes.It makes no sense to me to see them using net 3 for
hosts that are behind firewalls and proxies or which are never
intended to be reachable from anywhere outside their systems.
Exactly how do big corporations interconnect their islands of
facilities? Isn't their topology exactly like the one we face?
