Hey Jerry, I ran into that problem as well and came up with this solution
while using jnos.
I use the tcp access features in jnos to control access and jnos no longer
locks up or crashes because of those unwanted attacks.
All you need to do is permit all 44/8 traffic and jnos will do the rest by
denying everything else. Do not however add a line to deny anything or you
will have to do that for each and every address. If you have a particular
non 44 address you wish to allow then permit it.
