I have several IP addresses I probably ought to return to the pool,
since I don't live in the corresponding geographical area any more,
and haven't used them in years. I note there doesn't appear to be a
coordinator any more for 44.18/16 who can deallocate those addresses
for me.
I think it is worth point out that we have started with a clean database for the
allocation of IP addresses and subnets, so if you were allocated IPs in the past but are
no longer using them, you don't need to do anything.
On the other hand, if you were allocated IPs or subnets in the past and are still using
them (and wish to continue to use them) please register on the portal (if you haven't
already) and let us know what IP's you were allocated, so we can update the database.
We have not been able to import any data like we did with the gateways, so if you are
using IPs from 44/8 and don't let us know, you could end up in a scenario where your
IPs are allocated to someone else.
If you are a country co-ordinator please get in touch so you can manage your country's
allocation.
If you are a regional co-ordinator please get in touch so you can manage your regions
allocation.
If you are an "end user" please get in touch so you can be properly allocated
the IPs you are using.
Nothing will happen "automatically" we are relying on you to contact us -
additionally, if you know anyone who is using any portion of 44/8 at all, please contact
them and ask them to get in touch - unfortunately, not all folks using 44/8 are subscribed
to this mailing list.
Thanks,
Chris
