I'm working on that. The non-subscriber rejection filters in Mailman
aren't particularly flexible so it's taking some fiddling to get the
44net mailing list subscribed to the 44-announce list, but once that's
done, yes, announcements will be forwarded to 44net as well so you don't
have to subscribe to both.

In that case, it may be better to subscribe everyone to 44-announce that is
now subscribed to 44net?
