Hi all,
just for clarity.
Can you please tell us IP Address/Hostname of the three Hubs ?
I would like to connect my ConversD server, but I couldn't find any info on
Internet about the Hubs.
I remember some times ago there was also a map of current ConversD links
between nodes.
Hub_USA is 44.88.0.9 and anyone sourcing with a 44-net IP may link in.
If you have a static commercial IP contact me offlist first and I can
make provisions for linking your conversd in. One's best bet is to run
traceroutes to the various hubs and see who they have the shortest (and
cleanest) path with as a suggestion however if it's routing through the
ipencap mesh you should use ping instead to get a rttl on it.
Hub_USA is the former SpamNet_2 server from back in the 1990s when I had
the domain "spamnet.org" registered and those who wished a DNS entry
could easily get one. I also had a mapping program to which I made maps
on occasion and put them on the spamnet website for those looking for
information about how everyone was linked in. Since convers has
diminished in its usage, I halted doing that and I also let an anti-spam
organization have the domain when it came up for renewal in the mid
2000's.
*Note: for those who get QST, as this message will prove I am NOT "SK"
as is published in the February 2020 edition. The ARRL did NOT follow
protocol on verifying it's incorrect information.
