That's incorrect. There are the kernel modules in:
#ax25.ko
#
ls /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/net/ax25
# 6pack.ko baycom_ser_fdx.ko baycom_ser_hdx.ko bpqether.ko
hdlcdrv.ko mkiss.ko yam.ko
#
ls /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/net/hamradio
Then there are all the programs that come from the core AX.25 packages
ax25apps
ax25tools
libax25
