This is exactly the sort of thing we would like to have the TAC get together for. Why don’t any interested parties email me and maybe we can finally get this going. If we’re going to do this properly it will needs some structure and the extra noise it will generate should be moved to a separate list.

That has been done before. Brian created the 44NGN list one of the previous times this discussion ran. I surely want to share my ideas about that but frankly I am not prepared to argue against the "what we have is good and we don't want change" gang. That is why I did not take part in what happened before on 44NGN.
I have really good news - ARDC is in a different place from those days. We have resources and are committed to improving 44net infrastructure however we can. In addition to having the TAC discuss the best route(s) forward, we can hire folks to execute the needed work. So, though it may have been tried before, let's try again with a new set of parameters and see if that makes a difference :) Let's make Brian proud!
With this in mind, I'd love for you, and anyone who is interested in seeing this development work happen, to apply for the TAC. Like Chris said, you can email him. You can also send a resume and cover letter to contact@ampr.org.
Looking forward, Rosy
