There are issues with mailing lists and SPF.

If the receiver has a reject SPF policy and the sender specifies SPF hosts then the mail coming from the list will be discarded unless the receiver has an exception for the IP address of the mailing list mail server.

It's somewhat disturbing to note that although I've emailed the list twice, he didn't get it --- apparently his email provider is filtering it out. I've mailed it to his other address at a different email provider and he got it there.
