I mean, VyOS *is* Debian-based and EdgeRouter does use Vyatta.
lleachii (KB3VWG) do you have the notes? I would love them and it will help debug and see what I can do and make wiki instructions.

(Please trim inclusions from previous messages) _______________________________________________ I should also note, the underlying OS needs to have:
- a writable filesystem (therefore, you cannot use the image method to run
VyOS)
- a copy of ampr-ripd for 32 or 64 bit, you're in luck, I have a copy that
runs run on an x86_64 INTEL/AMD, as it was compiled on Ubuntu, as I recall, I only have 64-bit
- you would also need to make firewall rules for a) input of IPENCAP and
b) receipt of the RIP44 packets
I devised some methods in notes (because of the identified complexities in altering Vyatta at the time), but opted for a pure Ubuntu system. I'm very interested in helping you develop wiki instructions for VyOS!
