It’s always been that way with the old portal too.
The old portal did not have any DNS functionality (well it did but we never enabled it) so
updates were carried out through the email robot and web interface with no checks or
guidance on best practices - resulting in the mess we now have!
And I can follow the reasoning as they do not and
cannot know who owns which dns record(s)
Indeed, there was never any concept of “owner” for DNS records until now.
But yes, in the new portal this should be fixed and
I’m guessing that that is already on the backlog.
