As an additional observation:
No one hosting a single subnet, with a single gateway interface (speak a single connectivity provider) will ever need an AS. Unless you have 2 or more connection possibilities, the classic routing is sufficient, since your subnet will happily be incorporated into the AS of your upstream, BGP routing giving you no advantage at all.
