I discovered that the latest rsync client has a bug as it is fine with
Ubuntu 12.04
but it doesn't work with version 14.04 (rsync 3.1.0) if the server runs
rsync 3.0.9-12
and newer rsync clients as 3.0.9-12
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far) [Receiver]
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(226)
[Receiver=3.1.0]
That problem is still not resolved if I search for it.

this is the first time I've attempted rsync and this is what I got in
return...
rsync -a
www.langelaar.net::jnos2 /jnos2
rsync: getaddrinfo:
www.langelaar.net 873: Temporary failure in name
resolution
rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at clientserver.c(98)
the path is /jnos2 as shown above. Any thoughts?
thanks,

Hello Maiko et al.
Adding to JNOS 2.0j.7 functionality to change type
of logging style was VERY BRIGHT IDEA, indeed!
Thank you very much for that!
Best regards.
