I'm using mine for IP over DVB experimentation. I have a 30 Mbps OFDM
modem that I've completed, but it costs an arm and a leg in it's current
configuration. Maybe if I can get a grant from ARDC (when they start
granting individuals), I'll cost reduce it into something that could be
used for ham radio. The full-duplex nature of the modem is nice since
you can easily add power amplifiers and preamps. And it works on any
band with appropriate up/down converters. The block diagram is here:

I just have a /29 allocation since I'm only transmitting between two
rooms in my house.
