Hello all,
Quick question, I tried to find informations about the AMPR WHOIS, but I did not find something relevant.
I'm trying to see how my BGP announced allocation is showing up in the AMPR WHOIS.
I tried first from my home ISP, but I was prompted with a 403 Forbidden Apache webpage on the whois.ampr.org [1].
I also tried to access the same via the 44Net VPN (Wireguard) and I've received the same.
Tried to access it via one of my BGP announced IP's, the same.
If somebody has a KB or some informations about the restrictions (e.g. who can interogate the WHOIS) from what IP Addresses, etc. I would really appreciate gaining some informations about this side.

Hi Ian,
Thanks for the info. I'm currently using HE's LG and also bgp.he.net.
I'm also using bgp.tools and there I saw something that is "weird", looking at my subnet, the "Prefix status" is "Active, Allocated under Unknown".
Also, thw WHOIS tab is not returning anything, just an "error" message.
I've searched for another BGP announced subnet, one of my fellow ham buddies here in YO, and his, is showing everything correct (44.32.16.0/20), and on his subnet, on the WHOIS tab, the data is populated from the AMPR WHOIS. From here my questions in the initial email.
Update on this one, the WHOIS server seems to be down, according to the bgp.tools support team.
I've emailed Chris about this, don't know if they are 100% right but I tried to check it again and it does not respond back with WHOIS info about BGP allocated subnets.
