Chris says it's an easy change but points out that the primary reason for requesting people to log in at least once a year is to verify that we have current contact data for them. An automated cron login to the API doesn't do that. Since ICANN requires yearly confirmation of contact data, I feel that we are not placing an undue burden on users of our network to verify their email address at least once a year.
If we all feel that four reminders a year is too many, we could cut out the three month reminder, but I think the six and nine month reminder isn't burdensome. Cutting it back to remind once a year is too sparse; a single such email is easily overlooked. - Brian
