*Hey Everyone,*
*
As you might have noticed, there was no weekly update last week. As I
live in an area that was heavily impacted by Hurricane Helene, I was
without power and cell service. As we’ve got backup power running at my
house, I’m glad to get back online. All that said, below are some
updates from this week regarding 44Net and our Technology Department:
On Tuesday, October 1, ARDC welcomed our new Director of Technology,
Schuyler Erle N0GIS. You can learn more about Schuyler by checking out
our latest blog post here:

*
About 845 new tickets are in the queue.
o
Of these 845 tickets, 325 are new from within the last week.
*
About 996 tickets are open and awaiting response. Please note that
996 includes both new and open tickets.
o
134 are awaiting a response from the user.
o
42 are awaiting a response from an ARDC admin.
Since April 3, we have closed 2,718 tickets.
To minimize the backlog of tickets, we will be dedicating Wednesday,
October 16 entirely to handling tickets. If you’d like to take part in
reducing the backlog, please reply to this email, and we will provide
you information regarding next steps!
Our next Regional Coordinators Meeting, which will be a Portal Training
Workshop, will be on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 5:30 - 7a PDT / 12:30
- 2p UTC. If you are a Regional Coordinator and would like to attend,
please RSVP using the Groups.io calendar of the 44Net Coordinators
Subgroup <https://ardc.groups.io/g/coordinators>to receive the Zoom link
or email contact(a)ardc.net <mailto:contact@ardc.net>.Please note that
this is the first of many workshops, so if you’re unable to make this
one, be on the lookout for other training opportunities in the future. If
you’re interested in helping out on October 16 with the ticket backlog,
we highly encourage you to attend this workshop!
