No Ronen, I don't think a UPS is worth having. If there was one there already, I'd ask to be plugged into it, but because rack space is a premium in that data center, we really can't have our own.
And we really don't have power problems here in San Diego. I can't remember the last time we had a power failure here at UCSD. I'm sure it was a few years ago. System uptimes in excess of a year are common.
