You're right, of course. I can only explain that we did have some
documents explaining the network architecture and what the requirements
for connection are, but they were lost when the former ampr-gateways
wiki went down and was not recoverable.
I and others are in the process of writing documents and/or attempting
to recover the lost documents from web caches and other places and
getting them into the new ampr wiki. It's slow work and we've not
made the progress I'd hoped for.
I'd like to put out a call to all the subscribers to this mailing list
(really, to all AMPR experimenters) to write up your experiences and
add your comments to the wiki so that others may benefit from what
you've learned.
