I thought you got this working a long time ago. No? I know you had
changed the PCI card out once but I think the new card still used the
same serial chip. Correct? If so, you need to see if you can find a
serial card with a DIFFERENT serial chip. If you never did get it
working with either card, I would suspect the PCI serial card not being
fully 16550 compatible. It's a known fact that those old serial-attach
Baycom modems do unique things with the serial port signalling to make
the TNC work. I also have noticed that the BayCom website has been
stripped of all it's content.
To confirm, the serial card you have is this one:
wch_ch353_2s1p :: I see there were some specific changes made in
Sept, 2012 which is probably NOT included in a Centos5 - 2.6.18-274 kernel
