Not only that, fully half of the networks in .US would have to move. Those states that
were unlucky enough to have been numbered above 44.63, in order to clear 44.64/10 from
active assignment. This includes 44.127 “multinational” block, which includes the /20 IRLP
uses, assigned just a few months ago. It would be fairly easy for me to move to a new
block below 44.63, but I have to ask why? I am guessing other folks would have a much
more difficult time.

I disagree, I'm after reading the proposal carefully front to back for
the third time today. The more I read it the more I'm coming to the
conclusion is that it seems to be un-necessary work being thrust upon
everyone in the 44.128/10 space to renumber their networks just to have
the exact same feature set and (now thoroughly annoyed) users after all
the effort.
This doesn't actually make any sense to me now.
Surely we can be more ambitious and do better than that?
