I managed to implement the complete AMPR gateway tunnelling setup on a Mikrotik router by a scheduled script on the router only.
That is a great idea Marius! Using that method to get the RIP data is much better than trying to download and parse the encap file.
Maybe we can try again to convince MikroTik to implement mesh IPIP (I know you have tried in the past), because with this method we don't need to convince them to include ampr-ripd as well. With this method and multipoint IPIP in the router you would have the ideal combo to run amprnet on a commercial router.
