Tom,
Are you trying to use your border router as a desktop, and configure it to use AMPRNet??
If so, I don't suggest using a desktop OS as both a desktop and router.

Asi Isaid earlier, from the gateway I can't initiate connections through the tunl0 interface even though everything works from an AMPR IP (listed in DNS) on my segment.
