Loren,
Did anyone get back to you about your inquiry?
As with most things in like there are many ways of skinning this cat. Lets
address IP address space first; whilst I cannot speak about your local
co-ordinator, most will give you the space you desire if you can show that
you are using it.
As for how it arrives? I know a few folks that rent a cloud servers
(myself, N2NOV and a few others) and we have the 44 block delivered to them
using IP-IP tunneling. You can also have the 44 block delivered right to
your door assuming you have the right firewall or router config (that's a
whole topic in itself).
Using the 44 block for any and all ham radio related data activities is
strongly encouraged. 44 block addresses show up in D-STAR, Ham Mesh,
various email systems such as xNOS etc. As it happens, the 44 block also
shows up on the NASDAQ test trading system!
There are many knowledgable folks on this list. Work out what and how you
want to do it and I'm sure someone will be able to help you realise it.
