Assuming your local IP is your router, and your amprnet gateway is a box behind it, unless you're going to spoof IPs somehow I can't think of how you could easily accomplish this. The tunl0 interface on your gateway should properly respond, pending your router is pointing the DMZ to your gateway. I suppose you can filter ICMP at your router and it'll give a !H for a reply, but that's not necessarily the ideal situation. I would think having the tunnel interface would somewhat (from the commercial side) give you some protection as to what your router IP really is. Of course, I may be wrong on this :)
