New subject: Reverse DNS and access to DNS info
Submittal without verification and avoiding duplicates is problematic.
Also callsign ID is only required on RF, there are services on 44.x.x.x
that are not fundamentally RF, though amateur related. If you are using
AX.25 on RF, the ID can happen there.
That being said, delegated reverse DNS is a good solution.

I have my subnet go to my own name servers as then i can adjust the
reverse names back to what location they are based to. For example i
have callsign / known name + Location like LON / LOU / CHA / NWA . If
i keep having to ask someone to change this it can get a bit annoying.
Some people the dns names make more sense as they using their subnet
for like repeater groups to be able to do dns adjustments.

record (in the database explicitly, not just by performing a DNS lookup
that may be influenced by caching etc.) and to update the record.
I do this for Hetzner hosts already because they do not delegate reverse
DNS, but do provide a useful API for it.
