As we're a technically savvy bunch, can I ask that when posting to the list with a new message not to reply to another and then change the subject?
This breaks threading and will cause issues when looking at the archives. I'm simply asking this as a user of the list who uses a threading MUA.
Thanks & 73's W9CR

I'm so happy I'm not the only one suffering from zombie threads that abruptly change the subject and topic.
Thread hijacking is like transmitting on a frequency that's already being used by another OM, it's impolite, rude and shows a lack of respect towards other OMs.
But unlike transmitting on the band there is an easy way to avoid all that, you just create a new thread by using the "New Message" button in your email client. It's like a endless band, in case no currently active thread corresponds to a topic you want to discuss, you just create a new one by clicking the "New Message" button.
Thank you so much for your cooperation.

Actually it is cumbersome as one has to search and copy right email address where to send message. Hitting Reply is much easier.
However, there is away. In Firefox, user may right click To field of a message header (which contains sending address of a mail list)and there wil be option "Compopse message To...". That will create new thread and use email address from the to field. I guess other email clients have similar options.
