Hi Fellows
Since compiling is hard task for me
Is it possible to take from a working PI the RipD and run it on my pi ? or the only solution is to compile ?
I know on Unix some programs can run when taken from another systems ...
If that can be done where can I get the RIPD executable ?
Thanks Forward

What kernel version do you run? I *may* be able to compile a static elf for you...
Ronan et al;
I made a static elf binary of ampr-ripd for the Pi 1B. You can try it on your Pi. I never got specifics of your config. I can do it on another Pi if you need me to.

It'd help if I gave a URL: ftp://n1uro.ampr.org/pub/hamradio/pi/ampr-ripd-pi-1B-elf.tgz
Brian I could login the unit identify as linux raspberrypi 4.4.11 -V7+
Does it help ?

You can *try* my elf, no guarantees. But, also note that *any* kernel above 4.1 has more holes in it for the ax25 stack than does a golf course. For now you may wish to consider downgrading to a 3.x series.
Brian
I will grab the TGZ and Try It ...
How do I downgrade a Kernel ? Is there any Command for it ? or I have to install from scratch ?

I would discuss this with whoever did your custom compile. Downgrading to stock may break other things.
