upgrade its operating system. Services such as this mailing
list and the DNS robot will be unavailable during that time.

Maintenance is done and everything seems to be working.
System is now running FreeBSD 10.3-RELEASE-p10.

Very interesting and great news Brian! So this upgrade was going from
an old Sun (SunOS or Solaris) machine to an X86 machine running
FreeBSD? If so, does this now mean that some of the previous
limitations that the amprgw service had now can be improved over time?

Sorry David, 'amprgw' has not been touched. I hope to upgrade it at
some later time. This was 'hamradio' which hosts only the DNS robot
and this mailing list (using the 'mailman' software). And it's the
same machine hardware, just a new OS install.
By the way, 'amprgw' is an X86 machine with a very old FreeBSD on it.
