For what it is worth, I switched to Comcast blast awhile ago and could
no longer update
NTP from the Internet. Ping to servers worked. Funny, NTP was
specified to pass their
default firewall via a supplied rule.
My solution was to call and turn their combo router/modem into a modem
only and use
my old router.. Life was good again :-)

From my commercial IP address, I can ping your 44.62.1.9 address and get a
response. I can not telnet into it though.
From my 44.2.14.1 address I DO NOT get a response to ping attempts to
44.62.1.9.
