I have check and PIGIN working very well with amprnet convers use IRC protocol

I use Xchat and Limechat occasionally, my server is connected via GB7CIP.

So is this saying that the ampr.net CONVERS system is using the same protocol are IRC and any clients are compatible - or are various groups using IRC instead of non-CONVERS servers for local chat rooms?
