Hi guys,
Sorry for the alert, but when I rebooted both my router and Linuxbox
(Slackware 13.37 with kernel 2.6.37.6)
RIP is back on now!
I was confused because I could ping many hosts, but not all and also
because my ip at the portal was correct.

already been resolved from the hostname by the portal hourly
process. It fetches and loads the encap file once an hour.
