To me, this is the key to the problem. Dual homed Echolink systems make no sense. If the machine is dual homed, Echolink should be bound to a specific IP, so that the only IP in use is the same one that the Echolink servers see. Not sure if the Windows program can do this, but thelinkbox (Linux) certainly can. I don't know about SVXlink, haven't really played with it.
The design of nodes can play a part in this.
