echolink:
svxlink (to control your echolink repeater) This includes the qtel echolink client. Qtel is also available as a separate package in some distributions.
echoirlp is software that can be added to irlp repeater nodes.
packet:
jnos linbpq Xnet ax25 utilities UroNode
and more like FPAC, etc.
You can install packet (jnos + linbpq + FBB + XNet + UroNode + ax25 utilities, etc) + JavAPRS and IRLP/ EchoIRLP in one Linux PC
You attach your tnc's in linux (kissattach) and you can use net2kiss to echo traffic from other software like jnos to the radio ports. In that way all nodes can "directly" access the radio ports.
How fancy you make it is up to you but everything can run in one computer.

Hi group Are they any echolink and Packet Software (mainly Net/Rom) that can run on linux ? Say I adopt the idea of making a gateway with Linux will this computer have a Packet (Include APRS) and EchoLink software that will be able to run under it ? Or I will have to insstall another PC with EChoLink AGWPacket and connect the TNC's (or use Soundcard as modem) to it ? Please Advice Thanks Forward Ronen - 4Z4ZQ http://www.ronen.org
