I had the pleasure of a few conversations with Brian about 7 years ago when I first started tinkering with AMPR and packet. I never bothered to google the man or his creds before we spoke. Our conversations were very casual and we talked like fellow IT geeks for a few min, shared a few network jokes and went on about things. Later I looked him up after he talked a bit about working at UCSD and seen the list of accomplishments and felt privileged that I had a conversation with him. I feel privileged to have spoken to one of the greats in the IT community.
