Hi all,
Anyone reported the portal down yet? Can't even read the server hosting it (81.174.235.134)

portal.ampr.org seems offline for me as well.
So... I never really looked into where the portal was hosted before, but DNS (and a seemingly-legit delegation path) shows 81.174.235.134 for me also.
RIPE WHOIS has entries that show that address spaces as a Plus.net ADSL pool? Interesting...
Currently, Plus.net is announcing this space out AS 6871 via BT, AS 2856. However, traceroutes are showing total loss somewhere inside BT or at the edge of BT and Plus.net (or there are just no visible IP TTL hops inside of Plus.net).
Since https://plusnet.servicestatus.net/plusnet/status looks good at the moment, maybe it's a local issue somewhere close to the portal server? 🤷♂️

I believe Chris, G1FEF hosts it, likely somewhere in the UK.

Ok, so the Portal is offline.
I was in the process of moving it from it’s temporary home on the end of my home fibre to it’s new home in a data centre when our fibre went dark, openreach (the fibre supplier) have been digging up the road all day trying to find the problem.
I had got the Wiki and Website moved already, and was planning on moving the Portal today, but as you may imagine, I’ve been otherwise occupied.
The current plan is to complete the Portal move in the next few hours, I had already reduced the DNS TTL to 60 seconds in anticipation of the move, hoping no-one would even notice… best laid plans and all that !!
Fingers crossed it will be back online over the next few hours.
Apologies for the inconvenience.

Hey Chris,
No worries, I just wasn't too sure who to contact about the portal. Take your time and fingers crossed your fibre provider gets it fixed soon.
Keep up the good work btw!

Hmm, looks like Murphy's been having a field day! :)
Thanks for the update Chris Yep Does happen from time to time. I remember a Bore Hole driller in a town centre cut through most of the cables out side the local telephone exchange knocking out all the phones and data lines to the premises 'we' were supporting Fun times..All those decades ago, Paul g4apl/gb7cip

Could be topped by the time BT managed to turn a circuit breaker off at Telehouse North taking out a fair chunk of internet

Here in Australia, Telstra, the biggest telco here, and the owner of the bulk of telco infrastructure at the time installed an upgrade to their DSL DSLAMs early one Monday morning in the early 2000s. Something went horribly wrong and it took down every DSLAM in the country! And at the time, other than a couple of ISPs that had their own delivery infrastructure, all DSL in the country went down for something like 30-36 hours!
Working in IT, there was little I could do at the office at work, but at home, I had cable Internet from a major competitor which wasn't affected.
Yep, telcos can really screw up your day. ;)

Hi, I hope this email finds you well. There are some items still stored in the Bendigo East Hall that we believe belongs to you. Is there any chance you could contact the council and remove your items, if not we will dispose it for you. RegardsThanks Heidi, I'm wondering what items they would be.
