Hello,
If you are looking for a new radio protocol, new modems, I remind you
that I have just created the project "New Packet Radio". You can
experiment it right now, it's 100% open source! (hardware and software).
https://hackaday.io/project/164092-npr-new-packet-radio/
Currently, it's IPv4 only. But if lots of people are interested by IPv6,
I could add "pure ethernet" transport, and it would become IPv6 compatible.
If you have questions or comment about this project, do not hesitate to
ask.

I would add, this may be a good time to come up with
additional RF physical
and link layer implementations that are not based on AX.25 - we could use
more modern modem implementations and link protocols.
