ARDC is Hiring for an Administrative & Marketing Associate. As many of you have asked about ways to help with the portal: if you come across something in the portal documentation (https://www.ardc.net/wp-content/uploads/portal-2.0-technical-documentation-v... https://www.ardc.net/wp-content/uploads/portal-2.0-technical-documentation-v3.3-20240401.pdf) that’s not clear or intuitive, or if you have other feedback, please let us know at newportal@ardc.net mailto:newportal@ardc.net.

I hope I wont be seen as ungratefull.
I am happy that ARDC Hire people to help with giving support or services to the community. But for now everyone working for ARDC are from the USA. No problem with US citizen.. But Ham radio is not a US only service but a world wide one. It is well known that the GAC is giving grants all over the world. It is also known that the TAC is also using ham from multiple country.
But employee should not be only people that are US citizen or people that can move to the USA or already have a way to work in the USA.
I know it is about the IRS rules. But I am sure there are ways to open international branch of ARDC that could hire people from other countries.
I really think ARDC need to put some time on that problem. We are missing on many good people that could give some great help to the community but are unable to do so because they live in Germany, France, Canada, Australia, Russia or Japan to name a few.
Yes the Portal is important. Yes giving grants is very important. But getting the best people to make ARDC the best it can be is much more important. Like it could be possible to hire software developper to work on ham project. Maybe create a specific branch of ARDC for international project? That branch would be financed by the US entity? We need to work on something like that.

Hi Pierre,
We appreciate your thoughts on this matter. As you and I have discussed, opening an international branch of ARDC introduces legal and administrative considerations, and as a small team, we currently do not have the capacity to set this up.
We understand that it may be frustrating for people outside of the US, but it is not something we can address at this time.
Best, Rosy

Thanks for the feedback Rosy, yes we did talked about a few time ;-) and I know that the reason ARDC wont hire international ham have nothing to do with unwilling of the direction. But even if I know the answer, it is still something we need to talk about and maybe get adressed some time in the futur.
Please dont see this as harassment, it is very far from it. ( I know you don't ) Just that I prefer to keep the subject alive from time to time. And your answer keep the other people that could be afraid of asking in the know. After all, I've been with the team a few years in the TAC , I know that there is no malice on that subject. And it is always better to be transparent on subject like this so that some wont get the feeling there is something fishy in the planning.
Assuming bad faith just bring people to grow frustration. I dont want this to happen!
Hope things get smoother now for the team. Been a rough spring..
