Oh, I am on ROS7/CHR. Is there a way to get it work on ROS7?

Subject: [44net] Re: IPIP tunnel for Mikrotik
The v3.1 scripts are for ROS up to 6.40, and the v3.2 scripts from ROS 6.41 up to the latest v6 releases.
The scripts do NOT work on ROS 7 due to the fact that the RIP handling changed and the RIP timers do not work correctly.

Hi
Has anyone setup the IPIP tunnel successfully in Mikrotik? I think the instruction in Wiki is written for ROS 2.0. Things has changed a lot and I have trouble following. I created the IPIP tunnel in the interface and not sure what to do next. I added my IP subnet to the IP tab. The RIP configuration menu is very different now.

Same effect as far as the average person is concerned.
Whether "pushed" or "pulled", it is not happening.
Single point of origination vs multiple points of receiving.
Something is broken somewhere, not everywhere.

Hey Everyone,
Below are some updates from this week regarding the 44Net Portal:
As of today, about 50 new portal tickets remain, and about 280 tickets
are open and awaiting response. Since April 3, we have closed 567 tickets.
Also, there are 9 open/new bug reports and 35 that are resolved.
Notes from the Regional Coordinators meeting went out earlier today, and
the related links from last week’s meeting are below and can also be
found on the Regional Coordinators page

Finally, as many of you have asked about ways to help with the portal:
if you come across something in the docs
(https://www.ardc.net/wp-content/uploads/portal-2.0-technical-documentation-…)
that’s not clear or intuitive, or if you have other feedback, please let
us know at newportal(a)ardc.net <mailto:newportal@ardc.net>.
As always, let us know if you have any questions!
73 and have a great weekend,

Before any of the current allocation holders can "claim" their sub-domains
or DNS records, they need to be verified for calls, emails and phone
numbers.
This alone puts a pile of tickets awaiting assignment and processing into
the queue. When can the Regional Coordinators be added to the group of those
who can process this workload since we already know who these stations are?
I am already getting emails from those here in the northeast USA who are
waiting for their tickets to be assigned. There are also many who are biding
their time before starting the verification process because they have been
observing the problems discussed since April 3rd. After we can plow through
this volume, then we can spread the word that new allocation requests can
be handled. Otherwise, they will add to the voluminous workload that you
are straining under. Remember, many hands make light work.

Anyone here also use SAGE Endec systems as part of their repeater network for emergency alerts? Are you currently dealing with monetary issues around the “for a fee” firmware updates? Or are either of the founders also part of this group (or someone here know them), K2SMC and NK6K. Looking to find solutions and or contact them.
Thanks

Hi 44Net community –
As much of ARDC’s staff is on the heels of heading to Hamvention, I’m
writing briefly with some updates before we get a little quieter than
usual for the next 4-5 days.
1. ARDC’s TAC is all-hands-on-deck to process the backlog of Portal
tickets. I recognize that waiting for your ticket to be handled – in
some cases for as long as 6 weeks – has been frustrating. Please know
that we are working through the last of these as quickly as possible.
Thank you for your patience.
2. As many have noted, the mailing list is having issues with users
being randomly unsubscribed and/or their emails bouncing from the list.
Chris will need to turn off the mailing list at times over the weekend
to address these issues.
** In order to avoid technical difficulty, we suggest saving any
non-urgent messages for early next week. **
Alternatively, feel free to head over to
https://ardc.groups.io/g/44net/. Chris will send a notice to the mailing
list when things seem to be working again.
3. This weekend is also Hamvention, and many of us will have our hands
full working the ARDC booth. As a result, please expect
slower-than-usual staff replies to this mailing list and groups.io.
4. Last but not least, we will be hosting a meeting with Regional
Coordinators on Thursday of next week. On the agenda will be discussion
about how Regional Coordinators can use the new portal, as well as some
general discussion about how we may work together to create processes
and procedures for coordinator roles, including but not limited to the
possibility of regular meetings where we can work together on these
issues. RCs, please look for upcoming messages about this in your
subgroup at https://ardc.groups.io/g/coordinators.

Rosy

Chris, E.g. - So if I wanted to request a /24 at this time, what should I do to proceed?Would a second verification be necessary? If it's in the name of a club or RACES organization, what would I need to do to validate (verifiable letters from the government sponsor may be easier than verification of the postal address of these gov't facilities).Lastly I wanted to note, comments being made about deleted PII seem to forget the fact the Portal/process then proceeds to require a Ham to enter a postal address that matches their license/QRZ/whatever. In FCC land at least, such a match is obviously PII (and now matched to public/44net IPs/hostnames associated to an individual).I respect and applaud the notion and the due diligence, I just wanted to clarify that point.I digress in reiterating like others - how the process will become nearly impossible in Europe and other areas, due to growing privacy regulations, requiring the Ham to transfer more PII to ARDC.73,LynwoodKB3VWG
Hello!
I just took a look at my verifications, and I noticed that they all have
an expiration date. What happens when the verifications expire? What
happens if my level of trust drops to 0 when all verifications expire?

*Hi Everyone,*
*
As you are all aware, we have a significant amount of outstanding
tickets in the Portal related to address verification. In an effort to
expedite the process of resolving these tickets and thus getting users
up and running with their address space in a more timely manner, we are
only going to ask for address verification if you are requesting a BGP
allocation.
If you have previously requested address verification and are not
requesting a BGP allocation, your outstanding tickets will be removed,
and thus no action is needed on your end.
We hope this update is helpful in streamlining the process for utilizing
the Portal. As always, please reach out if you have any questions and/or
need clarifications.
73,
Rebecca
